I am Baaaaack!

Hello - sorry for the disappearance! It has been a busy summer, but I am in FULL planning mode!

First off, we set our date! August 2, 2013 - I know, I know...it will be here before I know it!

So now the fun begins! I am going dress shopping at the end of September and I have been seriously dedicated to losing 18 pounds before trying on dresses. I started Weight Watchers again (well, my form of it...) and I am seeing major results. In one month I have lost 10 pounds! I am more than halfway there!

Yummy Asian Chicken Recipe!

Thanks to Pinterest, I tried out a new recipe last night that I loved (and it is weight watchers friendly!!)

Wedding Resolutions Update - Week 2

I am into week 2 of my "wedding resolutions" and I am happy to report that I've been sticking to my guns - well to the best of my ability...

Losing 10 lbs - SUCCESS - Well, I am heading in the right direction. I have lost 2 lbs. Not bad. I am almost 25% there!!

Saving money - I give myself a B+. Sometimes there are things in life that you cannot control - such as my beloved Jeep Cheerokee (her name is Penny - and yes, I named my car.) Last week, Penny's starter decided to go on strike - so I had to bring in a replacement. At the tune of $149.99. Luckily, I saved on labor because my little brother installed it for me. So needless to say, I did not save any money on Week 1. But Week 2 is looking great!! (Knock on wood!!)

Inspiration for the New Year

Getting engaged has inspired and motivated me to do so many things! Here are the top two things I what/need to accomplish:

1. Lose 10 pounds. First off, I am not overweight but I do enjoy taking care of myself. My goal is to lose at least 10 pounds before I try on any wedding dresses. I feel this will help me in alteration costs, etc. I am trying to work out almost every day - usually with the elliptical or Zumba. I would love to get back into Yoga but I got to figure out a way to schedule it into my busy life :)

2. Save every penny! I am trying to put as much money as I can every week for my wedding. So there will be a STRICT budget and a lot of sacrifices. But it will be worth it in the end.
